78th IPRM meeting was held in Ergneti. Representatives of Central Government of Georgia discussed every important incident, which took place during recent weeks in the direction of Tskhinvali region, occupation line and its vicinities.

Representatives of Central Government drew participants’ attention towards facts of illegal detentions that took place during recent period of time. As a result of active efforts of State Security Service of Georgia and representatives of Central Government, 4 residents of Dusheti region detained by de facto government on 5th of June, have been released.

During the meeting particular attention was also paid to Giorgi Giunashvili issue, who is “detained” in so called Tskhivali prison. Representatives of Central Government underlined, that so-called “sentence” passed by de facto court against Giorgi Giunashvili is fully politicized and it has nothing in common with objectivity and fairness.  

Attention was also paid to grave humanitarian situation due to illegally installed barbed wires, fences and so-called border signs, which is still a problem for local residents.
