The Head of the State Security Service of Georgia Vakhtang Gomelauri held meeting with the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Turkey Süleyman Soylu.

During the meeting the security situation in the region as well as the main directions of the strategic cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Turkey was discussed. The parties underlined the importance of close and intense cooperation in the field of security in order to counter the common threats and challenges effectively.

The meeting was attended by the First Deputy-Head of the State Security Service of Georgia Ioseb Gogashvili, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia Fatma Ceren Yazgan and high level representatives of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Turkey.
