Head of State Security Service of Georgia Held meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Germany to Georgia 

The head of State Security Service of Georgia Major General Vakhtang Gomelauri held an official meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Germany to Georgia, Bettina Cadenbach. 

During the meeting, parties highlighted the importance of successful cooperation between Georgia and Germany and discussed current developments taking place in the region and worldwide, as well as spoke on the outlined tendencies. The parties also discussed existing threats and challenges that Georgia and Germany face and underlined the importance of deepening and enhancing cooperation between relevant security services of the countries. 

Vakhrtang Gomelauri and Bettina Cadenbach spoke on the future plans and discussed the perspectives of further collaboration.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Germany to Georgia, Bettina Cadenbach noted: We had a very interesting and constructive meeting. First of all, I came here to introduce myself as well as to learn more about this Service. I was interested what the responsibilities that State Security Service possesses are and what differences are between the old situation and the new one. I am especially interested what priorities it had in the past, and what priorities are on the present agenda. I also wanted to find out how we can collaborate.
