The officers of Anti-corruption Agency under the State Security Service of Georgia as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained the director of LEPL “Children and Youth Center of Senaki Darejan Shurghaia and her deputy Gocha Eremadze.

Investigation established, that Darejan Shurghaia and Gocha Eremadze offered 350 square meters building to a citizen for 5-year period lease. The offered space was on the balance of the abovementioned LEPL. Having had reached mutual agreement, they signed an official document which provided that the citizen would pay for 170 square meter space lease. Investigation also established, that the detainees demanded 30 000 GEL for 5 years period lease and protection of the rest of the building. Darejan Shurghaia and Gocha Eremadze received part of the sum, 15 000 GEL from the citizen and were detained on the fact.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of commercial bribery committed by group. (Article 221, part IV, subparagraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia). Investigation is carried out by Anti-corruption Agency under the State Security Service of Georgia.
