Anti-corruption Agency detained one Person in the Fact of Bribery

The officers of Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained the principal of 1st school of Kvemo Bolnisi Zakir M. on the fact of bribery.

Investigation established, that, Zakir M. promised a citizen with 5 grades education to issue 9 grades graduation certificate avoiding relevant exams and in return demanded 500 USD and received 250 USD in advance.

On September 22nd, 2015, Zakir M. issued the certificate and received the rest of the sum – 250 USD when he was detained.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of accepting bribes. (Article 338, part I of the Criminal Code of Georgia that envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment).

Investigation is carried out by Anti-corruption Agency.
