The head of State Security Service of Georgia Major General Vakhtang Gomelauri held an official meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Georgia Mr. Azer Tofig oglu Huseyn. 

In the framework of the meeting parties made special emphasis on the importance of continuous and strategic cooperation between the countries, which lasts for many years and highlighted fruitful progress achieved in collaboration in the fields of security, fight against trans-border and organized crime, as well as in social-economic sphere and field of culture. 

The parties discussed current developments taking place in the region and worldwide, as well as spoke on the outlined tendencies. During the meeting, the parties also highlighted existing threats and challenges and reconciled perspectives of bilateral cooperation in the field of security to be strengthened and enhanced.
