The officers of Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained the president of “35th Football Club” Gocha. A and citizen Vasil M. for commercial bribery and assistance in commercial bribery.

Investigation established, that the president of the football club Gocha A with the assistance of Vasil M. demanded and received 8 000 USD and in return promised a citizen of foreign country to fictitiously put him on the staff of the football club.

Investigation is in progress on the facts of commercial bribery and assistance in commercial bribery (Article 221, part III and article 25-221, part III of the Criminal Code of Georgia that envisages from 2 to 4 years of imprisonment). Investigation is carried out by Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia.
