The officers of Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, detained the citizens of Georgia Malkhaz R. And Sardar A. On the fact of production and distribution of counterfeited money committed by a group with a prior arrangement.

Investigation established, that in September of the current year, Malkhaz R. and Sardar A. produced and distributed 300 forged 100 GEL banknotes. Also, on September 17th, he produced and distributed counterfeited money in the amount of 2000 GEL in forged 50 and 100 GEL banknotes.

On September 22, 2016, Malkhaz R illegally produced and distributed 7000 GEL 50 GEL and 100 GEL banknotes, when he was detained by the officers of Anti-corruption Agency.

Investigation is carried out on the fact of production and distribution of conterfeited money committed by a goup with a prior arrangement. (Article 212, part II, subparagraph “G”of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages from 7 to 10 years of imprisonment).
