Representatives of State Security Service of Georgia Administration, Special Operations Department and Information-alanytical department held a meeting with the US delegation led by senator Joe Donelly paying an offcial visit to Georgia.
During the meeting the parties discussed CBRN security issues. The representatives of the State Security Service of Georgia provided the delegation with the information on the recent activities carried out by Georgia in an effort to combat CBRN threats and existing international cooperation. Discussions focused on several facts when State Security Service of Georgia revealed and prevented illicit trafic of CBRN matierials.
The importance of existing close Georgian-American cooperation in CBRN field was highlighted. Future prosprects of cooperation were also discussed. The members of the US Delegation expressed strong support for the further strenghthening of the relations and expressed gratitude towards Georgian side for the efforts carried out in the field of CBRN security.
