IPRM Meeting Held in Gali

The representatives of the Central Government have raised the issue of citizen of Georgia Giga Otkhozoria, who was murdered in village Khurcha, Zugdidi region on May 19th and once again requested from the occupation forces and de facto government to hand over the person accused of murder.
During the meeting the parties also discussed the issue of Georgian citizen Zaza Tsulukia, who was detained in 2012. The representatives of de facto government provided the participants of the meeting with information. It’s worth noting, that the State Security Service of Georgia has several questions concerning the above mentioned issue, thus discussion will be continued during the next meeting as well.
The representatives of the Central Government also discussed the issue of Georgian citizens who are in illegal detention in so-called Abkhazian prison and demanded their release as soon as possible.
The parties also discussed the incidents related to restriction on freedom of movement along the occupation line for the ethnic Georgian pupils living in Abkhazia. In this regard, positive results have been reached. According to the representatives of de facto government, this issue is resolved and local residents will not face similar problems in the future.
Next IPRM meeting will take place on November 11th.
