IPRM meeting was held in Ergneti

71st Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism meeting was held in Ergneti. Representatives of the central government of Georgia have emphasized the problems of local population, residing in the adjacent zones of the occupation line, that are created from illegally installed barbwires, fences and other artificial barriers.

The issue of Georgian citizens held in Tskhinvali so called prison was also discussed during the meeting. The central government of Georgia underlined the necessity of unconditional release of illegally detained Giorgi Giunashivili.

The representatives of the central government of Georgia also emphasized the importance of having a timely information through the “hotline” mechanism, as the prompt share of information defines its effectiveness and practicality. The next Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism meeting will be conducted on November 30th.
