IPRM Meeting Held in Gali

41st IPRM meeting was held in Gali. During the meeting the parties discussed every incident that took place recently threatening peace and stability on the ground. The representatives of Central Government of Georgia raised the issue of citizen of Georgia Giga Otkhozoria, who was murdered in village Khurcha, Zugdidi region on May 19th and stressed the importance to detain Rashid Kanji Oghli, the accused person.

During the meeting the parties also discussed issue of Georgian citizen Zaza Tsulukia, who was detained in 2012. The representatives of de-facto government stated that the above-mentioned person died as a result of suicide and is buried in Sokhumi.

According to the representatives of the Central Government, it is important to transfer the deceased to central government-controlled territory with family and Red Cross involvement and to respond to the questions existing in the case. During the meeting the parties also discussed the issue of freedom of movement for the ethnic Georgian pupils.
