Vakhtang Gomealuri, Head of State Security Service of Georgia held meeting with the newly appointed head of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Michael Mcmahon.
During the meeting parties discussed existing close cooperation between SSG and INL and engagement of SSG representatives in INL organized programs. Officers of various divisions under State Security Service of Georgia were given opportunities to participate in professional development projects held in the scope INL programs. Support that was provided by INL was highlighted during the meeting. Parties also discussed perspectives of future cooperation.
Due to active support provided by US Department of State in the scope of INL programs, important projects were implemented in Georgian law-enforcement field during recent period.
It’s worth noting, that aid is still provided by INL which is particularly valuable and important in establishing close cooperation in the field of fight against trans-border crime and enhancing international security.
