77th IPRM meeting held in Ergneti. Representatives of Central Government of Georgia alongside participants of the meeting discussed the important incidents that took place during the last month within the occupied regions and their vicinities.

Particular attention was paid to Giorgi Giunashvili issue Georgian citizen illegally imprisoned in Tskhinvali so-called prison. According to the assessment of the Central Government, so-called verdict on Giunashvili case, as well as so-called accusations against him are groundless, artificial and totally politicized. Representatives of the Central Government made a clear statement, that it is essential to release Giunashvili unconditionally in the nearest future.

Talks were also held on the problems of local residents, caused by barbed-wires and fences installed along the occupation line. Representative of the Central Government of Georgia made a clear statement, that illegal activities of this type violate fundamental rights of local residents and greatly damage security environment on the ground.
