Special Commission Approved the Candidacy of Head of LEPL Operative-technical Agency of Georgia

State Security Service of Georgia hosted a sitting of special commission where issue of LEPL operative-technical Agency was discussed. The special commission was chaired by Vakhtang Gomelauri, head of State Security Service of Georgia. The sitting was attended by:  Mzia Todua, Deputy Chaiperson of Supreme Court, Eka Beselia, chairperson of Legal Issues Committee of Parliament, Irakli Sesiashvili, chairperson of Defense and Security Committee of Parliament, Sophio Kiladze, chairperson of Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, Shalva Tadumadze, Parliamentary Secretary of Government.

During the sitting the commission members discussed three candidacies nominated on the position of head of Operative-technical agency of Georgia: Davit Kobakhidze, Deputy Head of Analytical-Information Department under SSG, Koba Kobidze, deputy head of LEPL Operative-Technical Agency and Levan Rostomashvili, acting head of General Inspection under Ministry of Justice.

Upon the completion of the interviews with candidacies, secret ballot was held. As a result of secret ballot, the commission elected the candidacy of Koba Kobidze. According to the law, commission elected candidacy will be appointed by Giorgi KvirikaSvili, Prime Minister of Georgia.
