Anti-corruption Agency under SSG Detained One Individual for Assisting in Bribery

Officers of Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, detained Tamaz Inalishvili, the employee of State Service of Veteran Affairs for assisting in bribery.

Investigation established, that Tamaz Inalishvili promised a citizen of Georgia to postpone the call-up in the army for 3 years via assistance of employee of Government of Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia and in return demanded USD 1000. In the end of June of current year, Tamaz Inalishvili accepted the demanded USD 1000 from the above-mentioned citizen and explained, that in the short period of time he would give him military service registration certificate with relative data on postponement of the call-up. On 5th of July, 2017, Tamaz Inalishvili gave the citizen forged military service registration certificate, when he was detained as convicted by the officers of Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia.

Investigation is carried out on the fact of assisting in bribery, Article 25-338, part I of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment.Investigation is carried out by Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia.
