Anti-corruption Agency under SSG detained one Individual on the Fact of Bribe-giving

The Officers of Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia along with the employees of Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia, as a result of joint operative-searching and investigative activities, detained Vladimer A., founder of Ltd. “Ladi 2011” for bribe-giving.

Investigation established, that Vladimer A. communicated with senior specialist of Western division inspection unit under environment supervision department of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia and informed him that he wanted to illegally extract exploitable minerals – inert building materials from the bank of river Supsa in Lanchkhuti region for future realization. Vladimer A. asked the public official to provide service protection with the consent of manager and promised in return to give him monthly value of extracted sand and road material, 50 Tetri for one cube.

The founder of Ltd. “Ladi 2011” handed over to public servant  GEL 4 000 as a bribe which is equal to the value of illegally extracted 8000 cubes of sand and road material, when he was detained by the officers of Anti-corruption Agency.

Investigation is progress on the fact of bribe-giving (Article 339, part II of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.

Investigation is carried out by Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia.
