Signature of the Agreement between the Government of Georgia and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on the Exchange and Mutual Protection of the Classified Information

 

Agreement between the Government of Georgia and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on the Exchange and Mutual Protection of Classified Information was signed by the Head of the State Security Service of Georgia – Vakhtang Gomelauri and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia - H.E. Heike Peitsch.

Signature of this Agreement aims to establish legal norms regulating mutual protection of the classified information exchanged and created in the process of cooperation between the parties. This will further contribute to the process of adequately responding to the common or global challenges by Georgia and Germany. Furthermore, this Agreement will create solid legal basis for the exchange of classified information in the fields of security, law enforcement, as well as foreign relations and other spheres, between the two countries.

Signature of this Agreement will promote further development and enhancement of the cooperation and partnership between Georgia and Germany.
