The 84th meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism was held in Ergneti.The Representatives of the Central Government of Georgia with other participants discussed the key incidents, registered from December 19 to January 24, along the occupational line, in the vicinity areas and in the region.

At the meeting particular attention was paid to urgent need for transparent investigation of Georgian citizen David Basharulis’ case, who in 2014 went missing in occupied Akhalgori and later was found dead.

The Representatives of the Central Government of Georgia also discussed the problems caused by the so-called “borderization” process and the security of locals.

The next Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism meeting will be held on March 1, 2018.
