The officers of the Anti-corruption Agency under the State Security Service of Georgia, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, detained the citizen of Georgia Zaur B. on the fact of bribe-giving. 

Investigation established, that the detainee contacted the head of the supervision service of Kutaisi Municipality City Hall primary structural unit, and offered sum of money in amount of GEL 3000 in return for protection during construction and reconstruction works to be carried out on the building located at #191 Gelati street, Kutaisi without the project.

On January 30, 2018, Zaur B. handed the offered sum of money, in amount of GEL 3 000 to the City Hall official as a bribe, when he was detained by the officers of Anti-corruption Agency under the State Security Service of Georgia.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of bribe-giving (Article 339, part II of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment).
