Anti-corruption Agency under SSSG Detained 5 Individuals

The officers of Anti-corruption Agency under the State Security Service of Georgia, as a result of investigative-searching and operative activities, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia detained the employees of environment patrol and rapid respond unit of Guria of the west regional division under the Environmental Supervision Department: Geno K., Emzar Ts., Mamuka A., Irakli Kh., and Ramaz K. on the fact of official authority and falsification in service.


Investigation established, that representatives of various companies got in touch with the employees of the patrol and rapid response group of Guria: Geno K., Emzar Ts., Mamuka A., Irakli Kh. and Ramaz K. against public interest, illicitly and agreed on extract of inert material – sand and road material without any license in order to get material benefit. Geno K., Emzar Ts., Mamuka A., Irakli Kh. and Ramaz K. failed to fulfil their official duties envisaged by law and instead of exposing criminal activities of the representatives of the mentioned companies and imposing punitive actions, through their inactivity and forgery of documents, gave them the opportunity to extract inert material - sand and road material without any license, violated legal interests of the state.


Geno K., Emzar Ts., Mamuka A., Irakli Kh., and Ramaz K. were detained on March 29, 2018.


Investigation is carried out on the facts of abuse of official authority and falsification in service.
(Article 332 Part I and Article 341) which envisages imprisonment up to 4 years.


Investigation is carried out by the Anti-corruption Agency under the State Security Service of Georgia.
