56th Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism Meeting (IPRM) was held in Gali. The representatives of the Central Government discussed every significant incident that took place in the occupied region since the last meeting up-to-date, which pose threat to peace and stability on the ground.

The Representatives of the Central Government of Georgia paid particular attention to cruel murder of Georgian citizen Giga Otkhozoria on May 19, 2016. Representatives of the Central Government made a clear statement, that it’s is necessary to detain the convicted individual and convey him to the Central Government of Georgia.

By the initiative of the representatives of the State Security Service of Georgia, participants of the meeting held discussions on illegal detentions of other citizens of Georgia and freedom of movement restrictions for the local residents in the vicinities of the occupation line.

Next Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism Meeting will be held on June 27, 2018.
