Head of the State Security Service of Georgia Participated in the Event Dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the first Democratic Republic of Georgia

Head of the State Security Service of Georgia Vakhtang Gomelauri participated in the event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the first Democratic Republic of Georgia. Vakhtang Gomelauri attended the ceremony of oath taking by recruits conducted at the “Liberty Square”. An oath-taking ceremony has been held at 6 places across Georgia: Tbilisi, Shindisi, Vardzia, Kojori-Khoroghli fortress, Batumi and Gelati. The 366 recruits and 123 newly-summoned servicemen took the oath.

The ceremony was attended by Giorgi Margvelashvili, President of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, Ilia II, Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, the members of the Government and the Parliament, the representatives of Diplomatic Corps, as well as the members of the high-ranking delegations of the foreign countries at the “Liberty Square”.

Giorgi Margvelashvili, The president of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, The Prime minister of Georgia, Jean-Claude Juncker, President of European Commission, Armen Sarkisyan, The president of Armenia, Sauli Niinistö, the President of Republic of Finland, Raimonds Vējonis,the President of Latvia, Dalia Grybauskaitė, President of Lietuva, Andrzej Duda,The president of Poland, Andrej Kiska,The president of Slovakia, Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia as well as Levan Izoria, Minister of Defence of Georgia delivered a speech at ‘Liberty Square”.

The presidents of six countries and 14 high- ranking representatives of foreign delegations are visiting Georgia. The Representatives of historic Georgian Diaspora are also visiting Georgia, including the descendants of Noe Zhordania, Akaki Chkhenkeli, Noe Ramishvili, Noe Khomeriki, General Giorgi Kvinitadze and Mamia Berishvili as well as the representatives of  Georgian fellow country- men' s unity.
