Deputy Head of the State Security Service of Georgia Participates in the 1st Global High Level Conference of Heads of Counter-terrorism Agencies of the UN Member States

The delegation of Georgia, led by Mr. Aleksandre Tabatadze, the Deputy Head of the State Security Service of Georgia participates in the 1st Global High level Conference of heads of Counter-terrorism Agencies of the UN member states: “Strengthening International Cooperation to Combat the Evolving Threat of Terrorism”. Alongside the representatives of the State Security Service of Georgia, Mr. Kakha Imnadze, Permanent Representative of Georgia to the United Nations participates in the delegation of Georgia.

In the framework of the session-„Combatting the Evolving Threat from Foreign Terrorist Fighters“ Georgian delegation delivered a report on the implemented counter-terrorism measures. 

The 1st Global High level Conference of Heads of Counter-terrorism Agencies of the UN member states takes place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, United States of America. The goal of the conference is to improve international counter-terrorism cooperation.

The Conference was opened by Mr. António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations on June 28.  The Conference brought together not only the heads of Counter-terrorism Agencies from all over the world, but the representatives of the international organizations.
