The officers of Anti-corruption Agency under the State Security Service alongside officers of Military Police Department under the Ministry of Defense, as a result of joint operative-searching and investigative activities, detained Giorgi G., the head of section of Military Police Department Monitoring Main Division under General Staff of Georgian Armed Forces and Mikheil Kh. head of LEPL Veterans and Soldiers of War and military forces of Georgia – Vaziani Union” on the fact od accepting bribes.

Investigation established, that Giorgi G. and Miheil G. promised a son of the former employee of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia  -L.S. to give the flat which is in military district of Telavi on temporally lease and afterwards to transfer the its ownership and in return demanded GEL 4 000.

On June, 27, 2018, Mikheil G. as a result of prior agreement with Giorgi G. took half of the sum demanded as a bribe – GEL 2000 from the mentioned citizen in Tbilisi, Kakheti highway in the vicinities of “Lilo Mall”, and on June 29, 2018 took the rest of the sum – GEL 2000, shen he was detained by  the officers of Anti-corruption Agency. Giorgi G. was detained on the same day.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of accepting bribes (Article 338, part I, whichi envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment. Investigation is carried out by the Anti-corruption Agency under the State Security Service of Georgia.
