The officers of Anti-corruption Agency under the State Security Service of Georgia as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment protection and Agriculture of Georgia bought to criminal justice employees of environment patrol and rapid respond unit of Guria of Guria and Adjara Regional Division under the Environmental Supervision Department: Mose D., Givi B. and Shalva Gh.
Investigation established that in January, 2018, Mose D., Shalva Gh. And Givi B. failed to fulfil their official duties envisaged by law. In particular, they didn’t exposed the illegal act of the representatives of the two companies, which have worked in the river-bed of the rivier “Natanebi” in village “Meria”, Ozurgeti Municipality extracting inert material - sand and road material without any license, thus substantially violating legal interests of the state.
Investigation is carried out on the fact of abuse of official authority. (Article 332 Part I) which envisages imprisonment up to 3 years.
On March 29th,2018, the officers of Anti-corruption Agency under the State Security Service of Georgia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment protection and Agriculture of Georgia brought to criminal justice 5 employees of environment patrol and rapid respond unit of Guria regional division under the Environmental Supervision Department on the same fact. The Investigation continues and is carried out by Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia.
