The officers of Anti-corruption Agency under the State Security Service of Georgia, within the frames of the ongoing investigation, have revealed the facts of illegal realization of psychotropic substances in 15 pharmacies in Tbilisi and Gori.

 Within the frames of the investigation, operative-searching activities have been carried out during recent several months which aimed at revealing illicit traffic of psychotropic medications in the area of so-called “Pharmacy drug addiction”.

On the basis of court ruling, the officers of Anti-corruption Agency under the State Security Service of Georgia purchased various psychotropic substances without prescription, which has definitely proved the circumstance, that the mentioned pharmacies sell psychotropic   substances in an uncontrolled way.

On the basis of court ruling, the officers of Anti-corruption Agency have conducted searching activities in the following pharmacies in Tbilisi and Gori: LTD “Endzela”. Ltd. “Nali”, Ltd. “Pharma 2016”, Ltd. “Pharmaguide+”, Ltd. “M.K.Pharma”, Ltd. Multi VSL”, Ltd. Datucha”, Ltd. “Sun Pharma”, Ltd. “Ninpgarmi”, Ltd. “Imedi+”, Ltd. “Nanpharma”, Ltd. “Pharma-27”, Ltd. “Nati+”, Ltd. Polisipharma” and Ltd “Imedi”.

As a result of searching activities, psychotropic medications in large quantities, so-called “black ledger” and computer data on the pharmacy activities have been seized.

The investigation into the case is being continued in an active manner to detect each and every individual who is patronizing and facilitating illicit distribution of psychotropic substances.
