On 7 August of 2018, under the decree of the Government of Georgia, the flags are lowered on the buildings of administrative units across the entire territory of Georgia to honor the memory of the victims of the large-scale military intervention carried out by the Russian Federation on the Georgian territories within the intention of illegal occupation of Abkhazia and South Ossetia regions.

Flags are lowered half-staff on all buildings of State Security Service of Georgia.
