The Officers of Anti-corruption Agency under the State Security Service of Georgia, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, on the basis of court ruling detained Beka Kh., one of the organizers of a cultural event for bribe-giving.

Investigation established, that Beka Kh. connected the head of Culture, Education, Sport and Youth Service under the Sighnaghi Municipality City Hall and offered to organize a concert with expenses of Sighnaghi Municipaloty City Hall on April 15, 2019. He offered a sum of money in amount of GEL 2500 in return for agreement and transferred it, when he was detained by the officers of Anti-corruption Agency on the basis of court ruling.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of bribe-giving (Article 339, part II of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment). Investigation is carried out by the Anti-corruption Agency of the State Security Service of Georgia.
