Anti-corruption Agency of the SSG Detained One Individual on the Fact of Bribe-Giving

The officers of Anti-corruption Agency of the State Security Service of Georgia in cooperation with the LEPL National Bureau of Enforcement of the Ministry of Justice, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, on the basis of judge’s ruling, detained a citizen Shalva T. on the fact of bribe-giving.

established, that Shalva T. offered to an enforcement police officer of the National Bureau of Enforcement USD 500 as a bribe and in advance gave him USD 300 in return to acceleration of eviction of tenants from the apartment.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of bribe-giving (Article 339, paragraph II of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment). Investigation is carried out by Anti-corruption Agency of the State Security Service of Georgia.
