As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, on the basis of court decision, officers of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the State Security Service of Georgia detained the chief specialist of the Supervision service of Terjola Municipality City Hall Gela Q. on the fact of bribe taking and the citizens – Kakhi K. and Gia M. on the fact of bribe giving.

The investigation established that Kakhi K. and Gia M. offered and later gave to Gela Q. GEL 1000 as a bribe in return for service protection of illegal construction and not responding to it.

The investigation is launched on the facts of bribe taking and bribe giving (Article 338, part II, sub-paragraph “G” and article 339 part II of the Criminal Code of Georgia that envisages from 7 to 11 years of imprisonment).

Investigation is carried out by the Anti-corruption Agency of the State Security Service of Georgia.
