Acting Head of the State Security Service Held Meeting with Head of the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM)

Acting Head of the State Security Service, Grigol Liluashvili held meeting with the Head of the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM), Erik Høeg. The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of State Security Service, Alexander Khojevanishvili and Deputy Head Information-analytical Department, Irakli Antadze.

During the meeting, parties have discussed security situation and key challenges along the occupation line and in occupied territories. Particular attention has been paid to processes developed in the vicinities of village Chorchana of Khashuri municipality.

Talks have been held on the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) meetings and efficient application of existing formats of discussions, as well as the necessity of strengthening thereof. In the mentioned context, the role of the EUMM has been underlined. The importance of unrestricted access by the Mission to the occupied territories has been reiterated.

The parties also discussed the matters of cooperation between State Security Service and the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia.
