The candidacy of Grigol Liluashvili, nominated by the Government of Georgia for the position of the Head of the State Security Service of Georgia, has been reviewed at the sitting of Defense and Security Committee.

Grigol Liluashvili discussed about the  main challenges in the country in the field of security, as well as the main directions of its further conduct. After the speech, the sitting proceeded in Q/A session. Grigol Liluashvili responded to the questions asked by members of Parlament.

The members of the Committe voted in relation to the matter discussed at the sitting. The members of Defense and Security Committee supported the candidacy of Grigol Liluashvili by 11 votes. The Parlament of Georgia will review the candidacy of Grigol Liliashvili for the position of the Head of the State Security Service of Georgia at the plenary session.
