Parliament of Georgia Has Approved Grigol Liluashvili on the Post of the Head of the State Security Service of Georgia

The Parliament of Georgia has approved Grigol Liluashvili on the post of the Head of the State Security Service of Georgia. At the plenary session of Parliament, members of parliament have supported the candidacy of Grigol Liluashvili by 85 votes. Grigol Liluashvili will be leading the State Security Service for a term of six years.

Prior to balloting, the candidacy of Grigol Lilaushvili had been reviewed by the Defense and Security Committee. At the Committee sitting, Grigol Liluashvili discussed the key challenges in the country in the field of security, the main directions of further conduct of the Service, as well as responded to the questions asked by the members of parliament. The Defense and Security Committee supported the candidacy of Grigol Liluashvili by 11 votes.
