Head of the State Security Service of Georgia held meeting with Head of the European Union Monitoring Mission

Head of the State Security Service of Georgia, Grigol Liluashvili held meeting with Head of the European Union Monitoring Mission, Erik Hoeg. The meeting was organized to take a stock of the functional cooperation between EUMM and SSSG, and was attended by key staff from the two organizations.

The Mission briefed Service's representatives about EUMM's general activities and mandate. The importance of EUMM presence in Georgia and its role in terms of maintaining security environment on the ground was especially underlined by the State Security Service of Georgia.

In addition, the importance of EUMM being able to fully implement its mandate was emphasized as the mission currently has no access in both occupied regions.
