Advisor to the Prime Minister of Georgia for regional development issues Sozar Subari, State Representative-Governor in Shida Kartli region Giorgi Khojevanishvili and Deputy Director of Informational-Analytical Department of the State Security Service Irakli Antadze visited family members of Zaza Gakheladze who was illegally detained by Russian occupation forces on July 11, 2020.

At the meeting family members of illegally detained Zaza Gakheladze have been provided with the information existing on the current stage in relation to his health condition, as well as steps already taken and those planned by the Central Government.

An emphasis has been made on high degree of engagement of international partners and it has been highlighted that every mechanism available to us had been activated, works are underway in terms of consolidation of international community, which is evidenced by the statement of the EUMM and US Embassy’s comment in relation to the fact of illegal detention of Zaza Gakheladze.
