Following a 11-months pause, 96th IPRM meeting has taken place in village Ergneti, Gori municipality.
Representatives of the State Security Service have strongly brought about the issue of illegal detention of Georgian citizens: Zaza Gakheladze, Khvicha Mgebrishvili and Genadi Bestaev and have categorically demanded their unconditional release within the shortest possible period.
Particular attention has been devoted to all significant incidents detected since the previous meeting until up to date both in the occupied region as well as its vicinities which pose threat to stability, damage security situation and restrict free movement of the local residents along the occupation line.
The issues of brutal murder of Archil Tatunashvili, Davit Basharuli’s death in uncertain circumstances, facts of illegal detention of citizens of Georgia, as well as cases of so-called illegal borderisation have been once again underlined in this context.
September 24, 2020 has been defined as a tentative date for the next IPRM meeting.
