Head of State Security Service, Grigol Liluashvili Held Meeting with Director General of the Civil Guard of Spain, Maria Gamez Gamez.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed current security situation in the county. Grigol Liluashvili noted that occupied territories remain a key challenge for Georgia.

Mutual challenges facing Georgia and Spain have been discussed during the meeting, terrorism and cyber threats have been underlined among others. Grigol Liluashvili has shared with the visitors the information on successful activities of the Counterterrorism Center. The parties discussed importance of cooperation between the two agencies in the mentioned fields.

Director General of the Civil Guard of Spain, Maria Gamez Gamez, the Civil Guard Police Attache in Turkey - Antonio Doblas and the Head of International Cooperation Department of the Civil Guard - Jose Antonio Mellado visited State Security Service within the frames of an official visit in Georgia.

First Deputy Head of State Security Service, Aleksi Batiashvili, Head of Counterterrorism Center, Irakli Chimakadze and Head of Administration, Nana Beridze attended the meeting.
