Citizen of Georgia, Khvicha Mgebrishvili illegally detained by occupation forces on July 3 of the current year, has been released and is now on central government-controlled territory.

From the very first day of Khicha Mgebrishvili’s detention, State Security Service, alongside all relevant authorities and international partners was actively involved in ongoing processes.

Furthermore, active communication was underway on everyday basis in relation to detainee’s health condition and other relevant matters.

The mentioned issue had been a matter of active discussions during meetings held within the format of Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM).

In addition, the role and engagement of our international partners is worth noting, both in the matter of Khvicha Mgebrishvili’s release, as well as support provided in the direction of constructive dialog.
