Mirian Taziashvili who was illegally detained on November 20 of the current year by the occupation regime, has been released. He has been handed over to the Georgian side by the occupation regime several hours ago.

On November 20, representatives of the occupation regime illegally detained a citizen of Georgia, Mirian Taziashvili in the occupied territory, in the vicinities of village Zardiantkari of Gori municipality.
Hot Line was immediately activated in relation to the fact of illegal detention and the EU Monitoring Mission was informed. Co-chairs of Geneva International Discussions as well as international partners were also informed.

Mirian Taziashvili was sentenced by the occupation regime to 2 months of illegal imprisonment, however, by means of communication through “Hot Line” as well as due assistance of other international partners and active application of existing tools at the disposal of the country, Mirian Taziashvili who was illegally detained by the occupation regime was released on December 22 of the current year.
