The officers of Anti-corruption Agency of the State Security Service of Georgia, in cooperation with relevant services of the Tbilisi Municipality City Hall, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, detained an officer of Samgori district of Tbilisi Municipality City Hall for bribe-taking in large quantities.

  Investigation establishes, that the employee of Samgori district of Tbilisi Municipality City Hall, promised foreign businessmen to cut healthy trees to arrange a route in the vicinities of the parcel land they had chosen to purchase in exchange for which he demanded USD 8 000 as a bribe. On February 26 of the current year, the employee of Samgori district administrative unit took part of the amount – USD 4 000 as a bribe, when he was detained by the officers of the Anti-corruption Agency. Investigation is carried out on the fact of bribe-taking in large quantities.
