Genadi Bestaev who was illegally detained by the Russian occupation forces on November 21, 2019, has been sentenced by so-called court of occupied Tskhinvali to 3 years of unlawful imprisonment.

Illegal detentions represent a grave outcome of the Russian occupation which aim at exerting pressure on the Central Government and sowing feeling of fear and insecurity among the population.
