The officers of Anti-corruption Agency under the State Security Service of Georgia and officers of General Inspection under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia as a result of joint operative-searching and investigative activities, detained the Deputy Head of 2nd Aviation Security Department of LEPL Security Police under MIA Giga Kiknavelidze on the fact of bribery.

Investigation established, that Giga Kiknavelidze demanded 5000 GEL from a citizen and in return promised him to provide assistance in crossing checkpoint of Tbilisi International Airport with 50000 US dollars’ worth gold items avoiding certain procedures. Giga Kiknavelidze received 5000 GEL in the vicinities of Tbilisi International Airport and was detained on the fact of bribery.
