The Head of the State Security Service of Georgia met with the members of Parliamentary Trust Group and got them familiarized with the information on classified activities and special programs implemented throughout 2022, as well as touched on security situation and steps taken in order to prevent threats and challenges facing the country.

Grigol Liluashvili: “We continue our active cooperation with the Defense and Security Committee of Parliament of Georgia and the Trust Group. We have discussed current issues, as well as security challenges within the format of the Trust Group, in particular, against the background of recent tense geopolitical situation, we responded to all questions of interest of our legislators”.

Upon the completion of the meeting, the Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee, Irakli Beraia stated that the State Security Service deserves the highest assessment from the legislators. The Chairman of the Trust Group expressed gratitude for implemented work to every single officer of the State Security Service and expressed full support towards the Service on behalf of the members of legislative body.
