The officers of anti-corruption agency under the State Security Service of Georgia as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, detained the representative of head of Kobuleti Municipality in village Mukhaestate Gia Gogitidze for bribery in large quantities.

Investigation established, that Gia Gogitidze promised the citizen of Turkey to provide with space for nut processing factory and demanded 20 000 GEL for the assistance. Gia Gogitidze received part of the demanded money, 4000 GEL. The law enforcers detained Gogitidze on the fact of bribery.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of bribery in large quantities (article 338, part II of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages from 7 to 11 years of imprisonment.)
