Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, detained representative of mayor of Batumi in Kakhaberi’s administration unit Gocha Devadze for attempted fraud through misuse of powers.

Investigation established, that Gocha Devadze demanded and received 2 000 GEL and promised a citizen to release from fine for illegal construction and promised to issue construction permit in the short period of time when he was detained.

Investigation is carried out on the fact of attempted fraud. (Article 19-180, part II subparagraph “B” and part III subparagraph “A, which envisages from 5 to 10 years of imprisonment). Investigation is carried out by Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia.
