Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia Detained 2 Persons for Issuing and Selling of Forged Diplomas

The officers of Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained Suliko K., assistant-professor of Technical University of Georgia and Severian K., employee of Security Service under  the same University for issuing and selling of forged diplomas.

Investigation established, that assistant-professor of the Techniccal University of Georgia Suliko K. alongside Severian K., employee of Security Service under the same University, issued  forged Bachalor’s Diploma for Business Administration Faculty of Ilia State  University and sold to the citizen of Georgia. The abovementioned people demanded USD 2 000 for the diploma. They took USD 500 in advance, and the rest of the sum, USD 1 500 took when they where they were handing out it and were detained by officers of Anti-corruption Agency under State Security Service of Georgia.

Investigation is carried out on the fact of issuing and selling of forged documentation (Article 362, part I of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages up to 3 years of imprisonment).
