On December 14 of 2018, the Anti-corruption Agency of the State Security Service of Georgia launched an investigation into the criminal case on the fact of fraud in large quantities and neglect of official duty. As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the officers of the Anti-corruption Agency in the scope of the investigation into the mentioned case, on the basis of court ruling, director of Ltd. “Building Developer” Aleksi S. has been detained on the fact of appropriating of another person’s property in large quantities through fraud.

Investigation established, that on August 8, 2017, an agreement between Sagarejo Municipality Gamgeoba and Ltd. “Building-Developer” was signed on implementation of rehabilitation works of main water pipes of village Badiauri. The director of the Ltd. “Building-Developer”, Aleksi S. did not fulfil obligations due to which he appropriated through fraud large amount of money GEL 21921.86, which belonged to Sagarejo Municipality Gamgeoba.

Investigation is carried out on the fact of appropriating of another person’s property through fraud (Article 180, paragraph 3, sub-paragraph “b”, which envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment).

Investigation is carried out by the Anti-corruption Agency of the State Security Service of Georgia.
