Officers of Anti-corruption Agency in cooperation with relevant service of Tbilisi Municipality City Hall, as a result of operative-searching activities, detained an employee of Municipal Inspection of Tbilisi City Hall on the fact of bribe-taking.

Investigation established that a shift manager of street trading of Didube district of municipal inspection of Tbilisi City Hall, demanded from a citizen a monthly payment in amount of GEL 1000 as a bribe in exchange for patronage and took the mentioned sum of money from him on July 29 of the current year.

Investigation is in progress into the fact of bribe-taking, crime envisaged by article 338, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia which envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment.

Investigation is carried out by Anti-corruption Agency of the State Security Service of Georgia.
